Professional Biography – Short Version


Rebecca Seeman is a conductor, music educator, and nonprofit leader. She serves on the faculty of the Performing Arts and Social Justice Department at the University of San Francisco and is Artistic Director of Sacred and Profane Chamber Chorus in Berkeley. She holds degrees in Vocal Performance and Conducting from UCSC and a DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of Iowa. She also holds a Masters of Nonprofit Administration from USF. In addition to her focus in the choral music of Sweden, she is committed to the intersection between social justice and the performing arts and to socially relevant and artistically compelling performance.
