Vocal Performance

I am a coloratura soprano, specializing in art song, early music, and oratorio work. While my conducting career has consumed most of my professional activity in recent years, I am dedicated to remaining active as a professional singer. I hold a BA in Music in Vocal Performance from the University of California, Santa Cruz (1992), where I studied with Patrice Maginnis and graduated with recital honors. I have also studied with Susan Jones at the University of Iowa.

The following vocal samples are from my faculty recital at the University of San Francisco, presented on March 10, 2005. Jeffrey Swinkin, piano; Bruce Foster, clarinet; Aaron Seeman, accordion.

WA Mozart: Exultate jubilate, Alleluia

Franz Schubert: Der Hirt auf dem Felsen

Samuel Barber: Knoxville: Summer of 1914

Kurt Weill: Youkali

David Del Tredici: Acrostic Song from Final Alice
